Luxor from Marsa Alam

On this two-day excursion to Luxor, you will get to learn the stories and myths of ancient Egyptian civilization in the city of Luxor; the capital of Upper Egypt during the new Kingdom, and the city of the god Amun-Ra. The first day will be a tour of the West bank of the city, where you can visit the Colossi of Memnon; the famous twin statues in a seated position, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut; that was later used as a hiding place for royal mummies during the XXI Dynasty, the Valley of the Kings, and Deir El Madina.

The second day will be a tour of the East Bank of Luxor where you will explore, Karnak Temple; the largest and most important religious complex in ancient Egypt
as well as Luxor Temple.

On the first day, you will be taken in a private air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Marsa Alam to begin your tour in Luxor. 

After arrival in Luxor, you will meet your guide who will accompany you on a tour to explore the attractions of the west bank. Start at The Colossi of Memnon, El-Deir Al-Bahary; built during the reign of Pharaoh Hatshepsut of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt, and take then your traditional Egyptian Lunch meal to head then to the Valley of the Kings and end your tour at Deir El Madina (the worker's village) which was home to the artisans and craftsmen of the city of Luxor.

At the end of the tour, we will transfer you to your Luxor hotel to spend the rest of the night.

The second day of your journey, we will take you to Karnak Temple; the largest and most important religious complex in the ancient History of Egypt that was dedicated to Amun, Mut, and Khonsu, as well as Luxor Temple; the temple that was built by Amenhotep III (1390-52 BC) but completed by Tutankhamun (1336-27 BC) and Horemheb (1323-1295 BC).

Have your lunch at a nearby restaurant and return back to Marsa Alam.
