Welcome Drink

After early morning breakfast at the hotel, you will be ready to meet your private Egyptologist guide in the hotel lobby to begin your tour of the pyramids of Giza. On the way to the Giza necropolis, the guide will tell you a brief history of Egypt. Upon arrival at the Giza Plateau, you will stand at the foot of the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, which was built by the king during his reign (2500 B.C.) due to the prosperity Egypt achieved during this period, which is known as the golden period or pyramid-building period, which was marked by massive structures built for kings and rulers of Egypt to use as burial tombs, and also played an important role in keeping the Pharaoh name alive throughout history.

From here you will continue to a higher plateau where you will see the second pyramid of King Chephren and have a spectacular view of the entire Giza plateau, including the pyramid of King Meekerin with 3 neighboring pyramids of queens. You will have a great opportunity to ride camels through the pyramids of Giza (optional), and your Bedouin guide will take mesmerizing photos for you while you hold onto the pyramids with your hands.

Continuing your tour of the pyramids of Giza, you will go to the Valley Temple, where the mummification of the king took place as part of the funerary ritual. In front of the temple is the famous statue of the humanoid lion known as the Great Sphinx, which guarded the necropolis for centuries, we think this sphinx was carved for King Chephren himself.

Your day tours to Cairo continue to see the largest collection of Egyptian artifacts at the Egyptian Museum in the heart of downtown Cairo, the building itself is considered a monument as it was built over 200 years ago. You will see an amazing mix of artifacts from different eras, from the pre-dynastic period to the early times of the old kingdom, middle kingdom, and new kingdom, which marked the stay of the most famous pharaohs, such as King Tutankhamun, Ramses II, and Queen Hatshepsut. But the most interesting among the exhibits are those that were discovered in the early 1900s for the golden king Tutankhamun. The collection includes huge sarcophagi, chariots, accessories, and the king's mask.

Continuing your informative tour of Coptic Cairo, you will travel by private car to a place known as Coptic Cairo, where you will witness the oldest churches not only in Egyptian history but also in the history of Christianity.

It was built on the ruins of the Roman fortress of Babylon, some places were consecrated by the stay of the Holy Family, such as the Hanging Church of St. Mary, which was built suspended from two towers of the fortress, accompanied by the Church of St. Sergius or the Cave Church, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, where the box of the child prophet Moses was believed to be fished from the Nile. Enjoy lunch at a good restaurant during or after your tour of Cairo.
