7 Days Tour to Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, and Aswan

Your licensed guide and private driver will meet you after breakfast at the hotel to start your Alexandria Sightseeing Tour. You will begin your tour in Cairo and travel to Alexandria, which was founded in 332 B.C. by the illustrious ruler Alexander the Great, who is one of the Greek kings of Macedonia and one of the most illustrious military leaders and conquerors in history.

The Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, which are in Alexandria, Egypt, and date back to the second century AD, will be the first stop on our day tour of Alexandria after you arrive. The catacombs' distinctive fusion of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman architectural designs illustrates the period's varied cultural influences. we'll take a short drive to see Pompey's pillar, the tallest standing pillar in Egypt.

When you reach the Citadel of Qaitbay, which was built in 1477 AD on the site where the renowned Pharos lighthouse once stood, you will then be taken to the seaside to take in the views of the Mediterranean Sea. Enjoy a seafood lunch at a high-end restaurant before visiting the Modern Bibliotheca of Alexandria, a three-building building. Explore the city's major squares, neighborhood markets, and famous sites like the "Unknown Soldiers" monument and modern politician statues. Your tour guide and chauffeur will return you to Cairo, with a coffee or tea break along the way.

Immerse yourself in Cairo's rich history with our guided tours. Begin your day with breakfast at your hotel before visiting the Egyptian Museum to explore the extensive collection of Egyptian antiquities, including King Tutankhamen's golden mask and coffins. Afterward, delve into Islamic Cairo, where you'll visit the Citadel of Saladin and the magnificent Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque. Due to the marble paneling on its interior and exterior walls, this mosque is also referred to as the "Alabaster Mosque". The twin minarets of the mosque are the tallest in all of Egypt, standing 84 meters tall each.

Enjoy a delicious lunch before continuing to Coptic Cairo, where you'll discover the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon, the Hanging Church, and the church of St Sergius. Our Coptic Cairo tour will conclude with a visit to the old Jewish area of Cairo to see the Ben Ezra Synagogue, which was once a Christian church before being sold to a Jewish man. Conclude the day by exploring the vibrant streets of Islamic Cairo, including El Moez Ledin Ellah Street, the Al Azhar Mosque, and a visit to the historic El Fishawy café in Khan El Khalili. These tours offer a fascinating glimpse into Cairo's rich heritage and cultural treasures.

We will take the car back to the hotel and stay the night in Cairo.

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, check out and proceed to Cairo airport for your domestic flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, our team will be there to greet you and transfer you to your hotel for some rest, if possible. If not, we will begin our tour of Luxor's west bank immediately.

We'll start with the famous Valley of the Kings was the burial site of the Eighteenth, Nineteenth, and Twentieth Dynasties of Egypt's New Kingdom, located across the river from Thebes (modern Luxor). Next, we'll visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, also called the temple of Deir El Bahari, and the Colossi of Memnon, the remaining structures from King Amenophis III's mortuary temple, which face the Nile.

After lunch in Luxor, we'll tour the East Bank, visiting the Karnak Temple Complex and the Avenue of the Sphinxes. We'll see the Unfinished Pylon of King Nectanebo and the hypostyle hall with 134 columns. Our guide will lead us to the largest standing obelisk in Egypt, built by Queen Hatshepsut. We'll also visit the temple of Amon, adorned with lotus and papyrus designs, and admire the Granite Scarab of Amenophis III.

To conclude our day, we'll take a short car ride to the magnificent Luxor Temple, a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture. This site holds great historical significance and is a sight to behold.

You will receive the checkout instructions from your hotel at 7:00 in the morning. After that, it will take about 3 hours for you to travel by land from Luxor to Aswan. As soon as you get there, you'll start your Aswan sightseeing by going to the Aswan High Dam, an approximately $1 billion rock-fill dam constructed across the Nile River in Aswan, Egypt, that was completed in 1970. After that, your tour guide will direct you to a boat that will take you to the Philae Temple, which survived the 1960s drowning in the Nile.

Once the Aswan day tours are completed, you will be treated to a delicious lunch in Aswan, followed by transportation to your hotel in Aswan to check-in.

After breakfast, your Egyptologist will pick you up and take you to the Abu Simbel temples, also known as the Ramses II temples, so you can explore them. The two enormous structures that make up these magnificent rock-cut temples were built as a tribute to Ramses II and his beloved wife while he was in power. You will arrive back in Aswan around 1:00 pm, at which point a transfer will take you to the airport so you can board your flight back to Cairo.

A Cairo Top Tours representative will meet you at the airport in Cairo and accompany you to your hotel so you can check in and spend the night there.
