The best times for a daily tour in Alexandria, Egypt, are typically during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) months when the weather is more temperate. Alexandria experiences a Mediterranean climate, which means it can get quite hot and humid during the summer and relatively mild during the winter. Here are some considerations for planning a daily tour in Alexandria:
Spring (March to May): Spring is an excellent time to visit Alexandria. The weather is mild, and the city's gardens and parks are in full bloom. You can comfortably explore outdoor attractions and enjoy pleasant temperatures.
Autumn (September to November): Similar to spring, autumn offers pleasant weather for touring. It's a great time to visit historical sites, walk along the Corniche, and enjoy the city's coastal beauty.
Summer (June to August): Alexandria can be hot and humid during the summer months, with temperatures often exceeding 30°C (86°F). If you plan to visit during this time, it's best to schedule your tours for the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat of midday. Visiting indoor attractions like museums can also provide relief from the heat.
Winter (December to February): Winters in Alexandria are mild compared to many other regions, but they can still be cooler and wetter than other times of the year. If you don't mind cooler temperatures and occasional rain, you can visit during the winter months. Just be prepared for cooler evenings and pack accordingly.
Ramadan: Keep in mind that during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, which follows the lunar calendar and varies each year, there may be changes in the operating hours of restaurants and some attractions. It's a good idea to check in advance and be respectful of local customs during this time.
