The tea kiosk was established during the reign of King Farouk I, and its construction and design were supervised by the Egyptian architect Mustafa Pasha Fahmy in 1936 AD, as it was built in the classical style.

The "tea kiosk" was built in a rectangular shape in the Roman style. It is built of red bricks and cement. Its length is 33 m and its width is 16 m. It has 4 facades, the most important of which is the southern one, and it is decorated with a large "Fronton". The facade is preceded by 4 marble statues. It has lush gardens overlooking the sea coast, and in the center of the building is an open courtyard adorned with a marble fountain surrounded by a group of marble statues of women in different positions representing the four seasons.

On the northern side of the island is a rocky area that contains a group of connected lakes for fish farming. It is connected by paved roads, one of which extends to the lighthouse and overlooks the royal marina. A bridge connects it to the beach with a unique architectural character. The kiosk overlooks a garden and the Mediterranean coast from all sides except for the western one, which overlooks the Mediterranean coast and road, which is the royal fishing area and the royal marina.

The most important thing you can do upon your arrival is to enjoy the cool breeze with the gentle sun of the city of Alexandria, the bride of the Mediterranean, especially enjoying looking at the water that surrounds you from all directions in a wonderful creative image. You can wander around the island for a while and enjoy a stroll in the wonderful nature, then you should sit down to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in one of the cafes scattered on the surface of the island in Alexandria, or enjoy lunch or dinner accompanied by a wonderful sea view. After the break, you can go to the animal museum on the island, which includes different types of live and stuffed animals as well.

After sitting on the island and having a cup of tea or coffee, take a stroll on the bridge to see the sea from all directions and take some pictures as well. Photography enthusiasts can take the most beautiful memorial photos of the place from a distance, where the boats, palm trees, and blue sea water are in a wonderful view. Only 3.5 km from the island is the Damascus Bride restaurant, which serves the best Levantine dishes and sweets. At the end of your trip, you can go to it and have a good meal or order it to take with you.
