12 Days Wheelchair Accessible Trip to Cairo, The Nile, and Hurghada

You will see the ancient Egyptian monuments today after breakfast on the fantastic tour of the Giza Pyramids! You will be escorted to the Giza Pyramid area by your tour guide. The pyramids were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom in ancient Egypt and are considered to be one of the most important sites that you should visit during your vacation here in Egypt. You will see the Great Sphinx and the Valley of Temples of King Chephren, where his royal body was preserved by the religious mummification process.

We will then visit Saqqara Necropolis to see the unique Step Pyramid of King Zoser, which was constructed with 6 steps one on top of the other, the area was re-constructed by the works of a French archaeologist. We will enter the Pyramid of Teti and the tomb of Kagemni, his daughter's husband to see the awesome daily life scenes engraved in supremacy. After enjoying a delicious lunch in a high-class restaurant, you will have the rest of the day free to explore Cairo on one of our day trips there or simply unwind in your hotel.

Check out of the hotel after breakfast, and you'll be taken to the Airport early this morning for a brief internal flight to Aswan. You will be taken to your five-star Nile cruise after arriving. We will visit  Aswan High Dam to begin our Aswan excursions after some downtime. Aswan High Dam was built in 1960 and completed in 1971 forming a huge reservoir called Lake Nasser comprising above one hundred and fifty-seven cubic meters of water. We will take a little boat ride to Agilkia Island to see the Temple of Philae, which was established during the Ptolemaic era. This temple was dedicated to the Goddess Isis. 

We will continue seeing the Unfinished Obelisk at the granite quarries to see the most majestic obelisk that is thought to be made during the time of Queen Hatshepsut. You will be back again and overnight aboard the cruise ship in Aswan.

You have the option of joining our optional excursion to the Abu Simbel temples in Aswan, which are two magnificent temples located between Egypt and Sudan. The largest monument was built by King Ramses II of the 18th dynasty during the new kingdom and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Start by going to the Sobek and Horus the Elder-dedicated Kom Ombo Temple, which has two similar entrances, hypostyle halls, and sanctuaries.

We'll spend some time exploring the temple before moving on to Edfu. This temple, which is over 2,000 years old and is also dedicated to Horus, the patron god of kingship, was completely buried in the sand until the French campaign rediscovered it in 1798. Due to being hidden for so long, it is Egypt's best-preserved temple. The 5-star cruise ship will take us to Luxor where we will continue sailing and spend the night.

Today, we'll start our Luxor day trips with a journey to the renowned Valley of the Kings, where you can explore some of the magnificent tombs of the New Kingdom pharaohs, including King Tutankhamun. The Temple of Hatshepsut (El Deir El Bahary Temple), the mortuary temple of the first recorded queen in ancient Egypt history who ruled Egypt during the new kingdom, will then be the next highlight of our trip. The grand Colossi of Memnon, the final remnants of the temple of Amenophis III, will be visited to cap off the day. Once again. Spend the night on the cruise ship.

We will arrive in Luxor after breakfast and begin the incredible East Bank of Luxor tours. Learn about the magnificent Karnak temple, which was once a part of Thebes. It features a diverse array of temples, chapels, statues, and obelisks and is devoted to the imposing ram-headed god Amun. The temple of Luxor, which is dedicated to the triad of Amun, his wife Mut, and his son Khonso, will then be examined. It is a place of worship connected to the Karnak Temple by a lengthy avenue of sphinxes.

Together, these temples and gods had a significant impact on the annual Great Opet Festival that took place during the flood season. On the Red Sea's coast, in Hurghada, we will stay in an all-inclusive resort after taking a private air-conditioned vehicle there.

Today, we will transfer to the Hurghada airport in our air-conditioned private vehicle in preparation for our flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will be privately transferred to your hotel in Cairo for check-in and relaxation. Alternatively, you can reserve one of our Cairo trips, such as a posh dinner cruise to experience Cairo at night.

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will begin the tour of the Egyptian Museum, which displays about 120.000 artifacts, including mummies, sarcophagi, ceramics, jewelry, and the most famous collection of King Tutankhamun's treasures, like his golden mask. You will have a tasty lunch meal before your visit to the Islamic district of Cairo to explore Khan El Khalili, which is a bazaar full of souvenir shops. You can have a tea mint in one of the local cafes in the area or wander around to see the beautifully illuminated Islamic buildings, which are usually visited during any Islamic Cairo trip.
