3 Days Tour to the Desert, Baharyia Oasis, and Fayoum

You'll have breakfast in the desert before heading to Bahariya Oasis. On the way back, you will make a stop at Crystal Mountain, which the locals sometimes refer to as Gebel al-Izzaz. The hill, which is visible on the right, is called "the Jewel of the Desert" because of the quartzite crystals that make up the structure. These crystals also give the hill its breathtaking aspect when lit up by the sun. A few decades ago, that natural feature was accidentally discovered. Following breakfast, our tour guide will pick you up from the Bahariya hotel and transport you to Fayoum city. En route to Lake Qarun, you'll watch the city give way to verdant fields and orchards as you travel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. See some of the stunning creatures that inhabit the saltwater lake's edge, such as black-necked grebes, ibis, and flamingos. See stunning examples of Fayoum's mummy portraits and cloth panel paintings with a strong Greco-Roman influence by going to the local museum. Before visiting Wadi El-Rayan to see the man-made waterfalls in the middle of the desert, note that these man-made waterfalls were created using excess agricultural water. Stop at a nearby restaurant for a midday meal served in the Egyptian style (in the odd event that the Wadi Rayan waterfalls are blocked owing to unforeseen reasons, a trip to the Fayoum water wheels will be taken). After that, go out on a charming journey in a felucca, a wooden sailing boat with an elegant gaff-rigged sail. Travel back to your hotel in Cairo to conclude your tour to Egypt.
