Marvelous 3 Days to Siwa Oasis Desert Tour

Following breakfast and check-out, your Siwa Oasis tour from Cairo resumes, accompanied by your knowledgeable tour guide. 

Your first stop is the Mountain of the Dead, known as "Gabal al Maouta," situated just 1 km outside Siwa. This mountain houses ancient tombs dating back to the twenty-sixth dynasty, belonging to the rulers of Siwa Oasis.

Next, you will visit various remarkable sites in and around Siwa. The tour starts with The Oracle Temple, also known as the Temple of Alexander the Great, located on the Aghurmi plateau about 4 km east of Siwa city.

To delve deeper into Siwan culture, the Siwa House Museum is the next stop, offering insights into the area's distinct heritage. Afterward, you'll enjoy a delicious lunch at Abdo restaurant, situated in the Oasis' renowned square, offering a splendid view of Shali.

Continuing the journey, you'll visit Cleopatra Spring, also known as "Ein Guba." This natural stone pool is fed by a hot spring and is said to have been visited by the Queen of Egypt herself.

As the day progresses, it's time to embark on the Egypt Desert Safari adventure into the Great Sand Sea. Travel by Jeep 4×4 (Jeep Land Cruiser safari) to witness the hot and cold springs of Bir Wahid.

This will be your final stop in Siwa after breakfast. You will be accompanied by our guide to Shali, Siwa's "ancient city" founded in the 13th century. It was constructed on a hill behind a protective wall that was originally breached by a single gate to serve as a fortress in the heart of Siwa, guarding the city against tribal incursions.

Then you'll arrive at the Siwa Salt Lakes, which are a hidden gem. You float because the saltwater lifts you above the surface. You don't have to be a great swimmer to take part. Lakes provide their own set of health benefits and recreational opportunities. Salt pools can help with sinus, skin, and eye infections.

On the final day of our Siwa Oasis tour package, you will have another organic breakfast in the Eco-lodge before being transferred back to your hotel in Cairo by your personal driver and professional Egyptologist guide, which takes approximately 8-9 hours including a break.
