It is located in the city of Sohag, 135 km north of Luxor. Abydos is considered one of the most important archaeological sites in Egypt and the whole world, that's because of its religious and historical significance in ancient Egypt. It contains the tombs of the first kings of Egypt during the early dynastic period, and there are also many monuments related to the 19th family during the prosperous new kingdom, and the lands of this region were considered sacred for ancient Egyptians as the temple was built by King Seti I and completed by his successor and son King Ramses II.
Then continue to see Dendera temple, It`s located in the city of Qena, 60 km north of Luxor. It was built 5000 years ago for the worship of Goddess Hathor, goddess of love, beauty, and motherhood in the ancient Egyptian religion.
