First, we'll visit The Step Pyramid, which is one of the oldest and most famous monuments at Saqqara. It was built in the 27th century BC for the Pharaoh Djoser and is considered to be the first true pyramid. The pyramid is made up of six steps, and each step is taller than the one below it.

If you're interested in learning more about the brilliant architect Imhotep, be sure to visit The Imhotep Museum. This museum is dedicated to his life and work, and they have a replica of his tomb on display.

We'll also visit The Tomb of Mereruka, which is the largest and most elaborate tomb at Saqqara. It was built for the Vizier Mereruka in the 24th century BC and features over 60 chambers.

After that, we will visit The Tomb of Ti, which is the tomb of Pharaoh Ti, who ruled Egypt in the fourteenth century BC. The tomb is smaller than the others in Saqqara, but still very impressive.

A fascinating journey to the Serapeum! It was unusual to travel down a long tunnel beneath the ground that led to a place where Apis, holy bulls, and several colossal antique sarcophagi were buried.
