The temple was built in the last decade of the reign of Thutmose III. We can guess that it was around 1435-1425 BC. Most likely, the temple witnessed the destruction due to the earthquake.

This happened at the beginning of the twenty-first dynasty. Many discoveries eventually occurred. One of them was wall fragments covered with relief motifs. Moreover, the building is modeled after the adjacent stepped temples. It resembles their colonnaded arcades that encircle the ramps leading to higher levels.

Djoser-Akhet ("Holy horizon") is an. other names for this structure. Later, archaeologists discovered the remains of the Temple of Thutmose III in the years 1962-1967. Professor Kazimierz Michalovsky started these excavations.

He was the director of the Polish Center for Mediterranean Archeology at Warsaw University in Cairo. Work resumed in 1978 to rebuild the temple's decorations.

The third temple of Tuthmosis has not yet been discovered, the rest of the temple is still under research and the other part is under restoration, It is said that it will open in 2026 and that it is the greatest civilized project of all time.

Excavations at the temple continue to provide interesting materials. Archaeologists gain useful insights into the important period of ancient Egyptian civilization.
