The fun begins with such wonders of the ancient world as the Great Pyramid of King Cheops from the 4th dynasty of ancient Egypt, which itself served as the only Wonder of the Ancient World.

You will also be afforded the unique opportunity to visit other pyramids, such as those of the Kings Chephren and Mycerinus, the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple of King Chephren. Take an optional camel ride on the Giza Plateau; this is a great opportunity to get great photographs with your camera.

Then, visit Saqqara, which will let you see the Step Pyramid complex of King Djoser to embrace monumental stone architecture. Here you will also see elaborately carved tombs that show events in the day-to-day Egyptian lifestyle. Have lunch at one of the local restaurants. Before departing for Memphis, you will visit the Memphis Museum, which boasts a beautiful collection of statues—the alabaster sphinx and a giant statue of Ramses II. Your private guide will then take you back to your hotel, where he or she will leave you for the night.

After breakfast, start the day with a visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum, where your guide will introduce you to its vast collection of antiquities, including the glittering treasures of King Tutankhamun. Following this, you’ll head to the Saladin Citadel, a stunning fortress offering panoramic views of Cairo and featuring the impressive Mohamed Ali Mosque.

After lunch, continue to Coptic Cairo, where you’ll explore the remains of the ancient Roman fortress of Babylon, the fascinating Hanging Church, and the Church of St. Sergius and Bacchus. Your guide will also lead you to the Ben Ezra Synagogue, believed to be the site where Moses was found as a baby. Finally, enjoy time at the bustling Khan El Khalili Bazaar, one of Cairo's oldest and most famous markets, before returning to your hotel for a luxurious evening.
