Relaxing days on Movenpick MS Royal Lotus Nile Cruise

Your breakfast will be served on The Royal Lotus Nile cruise. Today, we're going to the Aswan High Dam. Actually, there are 18 times as many materials in the dam as there were in the Great Pyramid at Giza. The length of the dam is 11,811 feet. Additionally, it is 3215 feet thick at the base and 363 feet tall. We'll then see the Unfinished Obelisk after that.

The same red granite that was used to build ancient temples and colossi was used to construct the obelisk. In actuality, Aswan quarries provided the granite. It is estimated that the obelisk weighs about 2.3 million pounds. We'll then visit the stunning Philae temple.

While traveling to Edfu, we will enjoy a beautiful oriental lunch on board the cruise ship. During the dinner, you will enjoy a dance party. There will also be a folklore celebration of Egypt. You will spend the night on the cruise.

Today's breakfast will be served on the MS Royal Lotus Nile. This morning, we'll visit the beautifully preserved Edfu temple. Actually, the name "Horus Temple" refers to the temple dedicated to the falcon god Horus. The temple was also built in 237 BC, throughout the course of six Ptolemaic dynasties. The temple is also the best-preserved Ancient Egyptian temple. The temple is also Egypt's second-largest structure after Karnak Temple. Sandstone blocks were used to build the complete temple of Horus. A smaller, earlier temple was constructed on top of the enormous Ptolemaic structure. The Nile River ran east to west in front of Horus' temple.
The following temple structure is north-south oriented. On the east side of the first courtyard, you will find the remains of an old temple pylon. Actually, not much is known about the original temple of Horus. According to an inscription, the New Kingdom kings Seti I, Ramses II, and III oversaw the construction.

After that, we'll head back to the cruise ship for lunch. We will sail to Luxor on that day. Early in the evening, tea and coffee will be available on the cruise ship. The cruise ship will serve dinner. You will enjoy a peaceful sleep on the cruise.

You will have a yummy breakfast on the cruise. Then we shall get off the boat to see the Colossi of Memnon, then we'll cross the Nile to the west bank. Amenhotep III the pharaoh is portrayed in two enormous stone monuments. The Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens will be our next stops. We're going to Queens Valley's Hatshepsut Temple.
