In the early morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo and drive you to the railway station, where you will board the train to Aswan. Our tour guide, a tour professional, will accompany you during the trip. Once you reach Aswan, you will be picked up by your Egyptologist tour guide and then start the sightseeing tour.
Your initial destination is the High Dam, one of the biggest engineering projects in modern Egypt. It's used to control the flow of the Nile; it prevents flooding, stores water and produces electricity for Egypt.
Then head to the Unfinished Obelisk in the ancient granite quarries at Aswan. The obelisk was abandoned when a crack in the granite caused it to become half connected with the bedrock. Your Egyptologist guide will tell you what it was like and how the ancient Egyptians used granite.
Last but not least, check out the stunning Philae Temple on the island of Agilkia in the Nile. The temple is dedicated primarily to the goddess Isis, and is adorned with notable reliefs and inscriptions that depict ancient Egyptian mythology, including the story of Osiris.
Following the tour, lunch is served at a local restaurant, then guests are checked in to the hotel and allowed time to relax for the evening.
