We will transfer you via the Cairo-El Fayoum desert road to Wadi Rayan using an air-conditioned 4 Wheel Safari vehicle. Wadi El Rayan, which has two lakes that are attached by means of waterfalls, is a beautiful view as it is a dip in the Western Desert of Egypt, about 42 meters below the sea level, developed in 1970 by an overproduction of drainage water from the farmlands in Fayoum giving a brilliant view that you can't see anywhere else (waterfalls in the middle of the desert!).
Continue your Desert Safari Trip to Wadi El Rayan and Wadi Hitan with a drive on the road all the way to Wadi Hitan which has skeletons of whales all over that you can see and take pictures of. It is a 40 km track inside Wadi El Rayan Natural Reserve, also known as Valley of the Whales, a UNESCO world heritage site. On the way stop at Mudawara Mountain which is sited to the west of el Fayoum Lake a magnificent spot overlooking the beautiful scenery.
We will take you to explore the national park of Wadi Hitan which is considered an open museum well-known in the history of Egypt and dates back to 40 million years ago and is among the most archaic places in the world telling the evolution of whales. More than 400 types of whale and sea cow skeletons, other bones, shells, and plant fossils have been identified here, some of them preserved in soft rocks.
After the 4WD tour, we stop for lunch and afternoon Bedouin tea and then transfer back to the hotel in Cairo.
