In the afternoon, our Egypt day tour focuses on historic downtown Cairo. Start with the Citadel of Saladin, once a Crusader-era fortress with panoramic views. Then we explore the old streets, seeing traditional architecture with domed ceilings and hanging lanterns.

After breakfast, our tour leader will transport you to the Cairo International Airport to take a brief flight to Luxor. Cairo is 420 miles (676 kilometers) away from this tiny city in the Nile Valley.
One of the day's activities is a visit to the Karnak Temple, which is Egypt's largest remaining temple. It was established in the Middle Kingdom and was once a significant religious center. After breakfast, we will start our Aswan day tour by visiting the Aswan High Dam, which was begun in the 1960s and finished in 1970. To conclude the day's adventures, you will be transferred to a hotel in Fayoum, where you can unwind and spend the night, preparing for more exciting experiences to come.
After enjoying breakfast, your tour guide will pick you up to begin the next part of your journey to Wadi El Hitan, also known as the "Valley of the Whales." This remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site was once a lake and now houses coastal marine species that have thrived for millions of years. The fossilized remains of whales found here provide valuable insights into the transition of these mammals from land-dwelling creatures to marine creatures. A visit to this awe-inspiring location is truly worthwhile. Along the way, we will stop at a nearby restaurant for a lunch break.
Continuing our journey, our next stop will be the Kom Aushim Museum, an excellent place to obtain a map of the entire city of Fayoum. The construction of the museum's initial phase began in 1974. You will have the opportunity to view artifacts from various eras, including the Prehistoric and Roman periods, alongside an image of Fayoum.
Next on our itinerary is Karanis (The Lord's Town), one of the largest Greco-Roman settlements in Fayoum. It was initially established in the third century B.C. by mercenaries from Ptolemy the Second's army. The city features two temples that are worth exploring.
Finally, we will conclude the day's activities by returning you to your hotel in Cairo, where you can relax and reflect on the incredible experiences of the day.
