11 Days trip to Cairo, Nile Cruise, and Hurghada

Lunch is served at a local restaurant, and a personal driver and guide takes you to the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque, a unique mosque built by Mohamed Ali in 1805 influenced by Turkish architecture.

Our agent will greet you at the airport in Aswan and take you to the Egypt Nile River Cruise departure area. The tour guide will meet you in the lobby in the afternoon and take you on an incredible Felucca boat ride over Kitchener's Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum on the Nile. Your delectable meal will be served on board the cruise, along with afternoon tea on the Nile Cruise boat. You will spend the night in Aswan, above the Nile's water.

After another meal on board the Nile cruise ship, we will begin our Aswan day trips with visits to the High Dam, constructed under the administration of former President Nasser, who spearheaded the uprising against Ottoman King Farouk, and the granite quarries where we can view the Unfinished Obelisk, erected in honor of the sun god Amun Ra during Queen Hatshepsut's reign. The Temple of Karnak, one of the most important religious sites in Egypt, was constructed during the Pharaohs' rule and should be seen next on day trips.

After learning about the stories of Isis and Osiris at the Temple of Philae, the guide will lead you to board the Nile Cruise boat and head toward Kom Ombo. After enjoying a buffet lunch there, you will sail to Edfu and then visit the Temple of Kom Ombo. After supper, the guide will prepare meals onboard and entertain guests with music in the disco.

Once you've had your last meal from the open buffet on the cruise ship, get off and start your amazing tour of the west bank of Luxor, which includes a visit to the Valley of the Kings. It's a royal necropolis for queens and other elites of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties, as well as pharaohs of ancient Egypt (the new kingdom), like Tutankhamun and Ramses II. We will also witness the enormous Colossi of Memnon, which was a component of a temple dedicated to mortuaries at Thebes (now Luxor).
