Following that, you will accompany our experienced tour guide for a visit to the Aswan High Dam, which was built in 1960 by former President Gamal Abdel Nasser to hold Nile water and then create energy. We will next drive towards the Nile's banks and board a motorboat to Agilika Island to explore the Temple of Philae, which was built in the 3rd century BC during the Greco-Roman period. Our final stop on this fantastic day tour in Aswan will be at the Unfinished Obelisk, which was discovered in a granite quarry in the southern section of the city. Following the excursion, we will return to our Nile Cruise boat for the night.

Energizing breakfast on the cruise. Our Mövenpick MS Darakum Nile Cruise will dock in Kom Ombo, where we will see the Temple of Sobek & Haroeris, which was built during the Ptolemaic period and dedicated to two gods: the local crocodile, Sobek, and the legendary eagle god, Haroeris. After that, we'll return to our boat to rest and refuel. Later, we will visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, which is the best surviving ancient Egyptian temple in the Nile Valley. We'll then return to our boat for the night.

The second destination on the tour will be the Temple of Deir El Bahari, which was built during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt's finest monarchs, during the 18th dynasty. Our final trip will be at the Colossi of Memnon, which are the only remaining relics of Amenhotep III's huge burial temple. After that, we'll head back to our boat for the night.
