Meals included for you: Lunch

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you will be met by our licensed guide and personal driver to begin your Egypt Travel Packages. Your tour will start from Cairo and take you to Alexandria, which was established in 332 B.C by the famous leader Alexander the Great He was a great king of the ancient Greek Kingdom and established one of the largest empires in the ancient world. Alexandria served as the Capital city of Egypt for almost 1000 years until the Arab conquest in the 7th century, and it remained the second biggest and most important city after Cairo.

Once you arrive, we'll begin our day tour in Alexandria with a visit to the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. This was originally a private tomb for a wealthy family that was later expanded to accommodate the common people of Alexandria. Afterward, we'll take a short drive to see Pompey's pillar, the tallest standing pillar in Egypt. The people of Alexandria built it as a token of thanks to Roman Emperor Diocletian who had diverted some of Egypt's annual tribute of corn and grain to help the citizens.

You will then be taken to the seaside to admire the Mediterranean sea views until you arrive at the Citadel of Qaitbay, built in 1477 A.D. on the site where the famous Pharos lighthouse once stood.

Indulge in a luxurious seafood lunch at a high-end restaurant in Alexandria before heading to the Modern Bibliotheca of Alexandria, which comprises three buildings - the reading area, conference center, and planetarium. On the route, you'll have the opportunity to explore the city's main squares, local markets, and landmarks such as the 'unknown soldiers' memorial and contemporary statues of politicians. Your personal tour guide and chauffeur will accompany you back to Cairo, with a pit stop midway for a coffee or tea break.

Spend another night at the hotel in Cairo.

This citadel includes the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, which was constructed in the 12th century by Mamluk rulers to safeguard Egypt from the crusaders. Later, King Mohammed Ali of the Ottoman Empire built his renowned mosque inside the fortress in 1830.

As part of our Egypt Classic Tours, we will pause and take you to enjoy a nice lunch before embarking on a journey through Coptic Cairo. After lunch, we will continue our excursion by exploring the remains of an ancient Roman fortress called Babylon, which dates back to the 1st century. Above it, there is an extraordinary church suspended on towers that are locally referred to as the Hanging Church. We will then stroll through narrow alleys that will make you feel like you're walking through the old streets of Jerusalem until we reach the church of St Sergius. This church was blessed by the presence of the Holy family when they fled to Egypt and stayed in Old Cairo for almost three months.
